The Groove Train Band

Tom and Peter are the foundation. These two total professionals have been playing together for 25 years make up the rhythm section and you are guaranteed to feel it on the dance floor. Tom doubles keyboards, but his forte is creating the bottom to the sound of Groove Train, while Peter adds the swing to any beat. This rhythm section is second to none, providing any event with the irresistible and addictive "groove" that sets Groove Train from all other bands.

Tom's brother Mike Flyntz is the natural choice for the "string" section of Groove Train as he has performed beside his brother and Peter for the past 25 years as well. A guitar virtuoso, he is one of the best in the business; adding a combination of blistering solo's to the funkiest rhythms and melodies. Mike "daylights" as the owner and main instructor at "Guitar Masters", a Long Island music school that has produced some of the finest musicians. Mike's career also includes a fifteen year membership in the rock band Riot, who has produced albums for various labels and have toured the world over many times. Mike is finished touring with Riot, but you will still see his name in the band's recording credits.

On keyboards/saxophone/flute/and clarinet is the prodigy, Ken Shanker. A 28 year old "veteran", who has already toured with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and classical orchestras in Atlanta and Houston, Kenny adds whatever is needed to complete any song. Mr. Shanker also plays both saxophone and keyboards at the same time, an awesome talent that has to be both seen and heard to be believed.

Jim Neville has a uncanny way of sounding just like the singer of each song. He is an incredible entertainer that will stop at nothing to make you event the most memorable party for all of your guests. Jim also plays percussion that includes: marimba, bongos, timbales, congas, tambourines, cabeza and various bells to add that Latin flavor to the salsa, meringue, rumba, reggaeton and Spanish rhythms that have become a staple to every party.

Last, but most certainly, not the least is Chelsea LaRosa. The newest member of the band, Ms. LaRosa has been Groove Train's female vocalist for the last three years and you could not ask for better. Beautiful, moving, precise with both an angel's vibrato and a devilish growl, Chelsea masters every song and style with ease. She has been performing in bands and theatrical presentations for the past fifteen years and will make the crowd dizzy with the latest dance hits or swoon to the smoothest ballads and standards.
